will this physically fit and work in a DELL XPS running windows 10?

It will fit in any computer that has a spare PCI Express slot. You will have to open your computer case, and visually verify that you have a slot available. You can look at the Serial Adapter Card and see what the slot should look like....it is about an inch long. Look up the specs on your computer on the internet, and it might tell you if the computer even has one. Then , visually verify that something isn't already plugged into it. Operating system has nothing to do with it. All Windows and Red Hat operating systems should work fine. If the computer has the slot, your bios should support it.
