The Alphacool Tubing AlphaTube HF 13/10 (3/8"ID) - UV Red 3m (9.8ft) Retailbox is UV red PVC soft tubing for water cooling. It has a 10 mm inner diameter (3/8") and a 13 mm outer diameter (1/2"). One retail box holds 3 m of hose.

Color from the tube

Alphacool calls hoses the lifeblood of the water cooling system and this one its latest generation. Deep, intense colors, pleasant handling and easy installation were the goals when developing this tubing generation. The result, in Alphacool's words, is a great choice of sizes and colors such as red, green, blue or black. One goal when designing these tubes was to make colored coolant obsolete, and hence the strain that coloring particles put on the cooling loop. Here the color comes from the tubes themselves.

Bending and handling

Besides color, the installation and kinking properties are always an important factor when choosing tubing. Tight bending radiuses and comfortable use in tricky situations were also taken into consideration during development. Alphacool says the plastic mixture was developed to perfection. It puts the outcome this way: "we have created tubing which manages to combine usually opposing properties to please both beginners and advanced users." Manufacturing is in Germany, which Alphacool says promises permanently high quality. It adds that manufacturing with years of experience ensures the best product all of the time.

A run of hose takes two fittings, one at each end, sized for a 10 mm inner and 13 mm outer diameter.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
