Question 1

Is this game on Steam? if it's Ubisoft, I don't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

It's Ubisoft.  You login to softwareoffer .intel .com, creating an account if you don't have one, enter the master key found on the newegg order page, from there login to ubisoft using the link provided by intel, creating an account there if necessary, connect the intel account to ubisoft, which once done redirects you back to intel's site.  From there once the accounts are linked you click a link on the intel side to redeem which adds the game to your ubisoft account.  You download the game via the ubisoft launcher.  It releases on 8/30/2024, so while you can add it to your ubisoft account in advance (it has to be the longest claim procedure I've ever seen, but it's not complicated, just surveys and agreement, account creation, MFA codes, etc etc etc) and download the Ubisoft launcher - but the game itself hasn't been released yet so can't be downloaded or played.  Intel also offers an unspecified bonus title in return for giving them the right to send you marketing spam; I declined so don't know what they're offering.  Unfortunately, in all this rigamarole there was no actual confirmation sent to me by email or otherwise that the game was added to my ubisoft account, nor does it show up.  Perhaps it'll appear after it's released.  If not I figure ubisoft will be flooded with support tickets.

Question 2

Is this the base game valued at $30 more than retail or is this the gold edition for $10 under retail?
