Great Case 8/19/2008 11:38:03 PM

Pros: First time building a computer and everything came to together every nicely. Great Design. Easy to build!

Cons: The Manual is terrible. First time building a computer and it took me a while to figure everything out. A removable motherboard tray would have been great. My back hurts.

Elegance in simplicity 6/3/2008 4:56:52 PM

Pros: -Aluminum, light weight and cool in temp
-Two large 120mm fans that push a good amount of air
-Swiveling hard drive cage
-Hard drive dampeners
-Small but Fits my 12" x 9.6" evga 780i motherboard, my Silentknight II CPU cooler, and my nvidia 8800 gt (9" in length)
-The side panels feature spring loaded strips of metal that dampen vibration
-Removable PSU plate
-Comes with some cable management tools
-beautiful, simple design
-Excellent price for Lian-li

Cons: -Stock fans are a little too noisy
-Manual leaves something to desire
-LEDs are bright
-Power LED cable has a 4 pin connector (a lot of motherboards use less)
-No motherboard tray
-No Floppy drive bay (if you care)

Overall Review: I downgraded from a Lian-li full tower and was looking for something more compact, and I was not disappointed. I feared that it would not fit my current hardware, or worse yet; increase temps. Although the temps logically went up 6 degrees Fahrenheit, it was much less than expected and everything fit beautifully. I recommend throwing down a couple of extra bucks for a couple of good 120mm fans that push more air and run much quieter, but otherwise sharp case simple design, and its a Lian-Li! :) Of course thanks to newegg for their excellent prices and services.

First Case 5/19/2008 9:25:02 AM

Pros: Awesome design that looks great. The pictures posted just don't show the nice finish of brushed aluminum. The inside edges are protected so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself on them while working inside. 2 x 120mm fans make less noise than 80mm fans. Add-ons such as fan controller, expandable hard drive trays, etc. Rubber grommets greatly reduce HDD vibration. Wires for status lights and USB ports are already done for you, so all you have to do is plug them in. Thumb-screws for quick panel and PSU removal.

Cons: There is no removable motherboard tray.

Overall Review: This was more than I wanted to pay for a case, but the quality and simplicity of this case is worth even more.

Top Notch 5/10/2008 11:27:05 PM

Pros: Very light, doesn't cut hands, very few rivets - mostly screws, many thumbscrews, plenty of space, Web site sells options like panels with windows and larger hard drive stackers, the fans are surprisingly quiet, The lights are not too bright, and the hard drive rubbers are great!

Cons: On the front there is no bracket so if you push on the front panel too hard it will hit the reset button. I put a square of plastic there and problem solved.

Overall Review: This is my favorite case ever. Worth every penny. I put in a DFI LANPARTY DK X48-T2RS, ZOTAC 8800GT @660, PC Power & Cooling 610W, C2D E8500, CORSAIR 4GB DDR2800 6400C4DHX. Everything fit well.

Exemplifies what a case SHOULD be. 3/26/2008 12:29:10 PM

Pros: The fit and finish on this case is just great. All the seams fit together snug and is very structurally sound. (No bending/twisting like cheap aluminum cases). The rubber grommets for the hard drives work like a charm and really cut down on vibration noise. I has REAL pci slot covers which are vented (not just pop-out blanks - I hate those). Also, everything on this case really is aluminum - no skimping. And of course it comes with plenty of hardware for different configurations. The fans move a pretty good amount of air to keep things cool and runs quite. Do yourself a favor and get other quiet fans as well (cpu, gpu, psu, etc) because although the case fans are quiet with all the ventilation, it doesn't have a lot of internal sound proofing ability.

Cons: One issue I has is with the length of the front panel cables. The firewire cable just BARELY reached with my Gigabyte Mobo which has the 1394 connector all the way near the back of the case. Depending on the size of your DVD drive, you may have a very small gap between the face plate and the other drive bay covers. I have a Samsung S203N and this is the case (although barely noticeable). The case itself doesn't dampen sound very much, so do yourself a favor as mentioned above, and get all quiet internal fans as well. You'll appreciate it.

Overall Review: This is my first hi-end case. So keep in mind I'm used to cases on the crummier end of things. Even so, trying to keep things objective I was still very impressed. Also, the very simple, sleek but classy look is great.

Black Monolith 2/25/2008 5:34:35 PM

Pros: Excellent layout, high quality construction, and its super light. Included fans are whisper quiet 1500rpm units. Face plate design is much improved over the older Lian Li units.

Cons: Front panel LEDs are a little bright for my taste. You can even see by them in a dark room.

Very Happy 2/6/2008 5:47:20 PM

Pros: Excellent design and build quality. This is my first Lian-Li case and I must say I'm very pleased. I would buy again. Pictures don't fully realize how sleek the case is.

Cons: Feels a bit pricey for the aluminum, but it is extremely high quality. Not really a con, just an observation

Overall Review: There is a reason Lian-Li has such a good reputation amongst the PC building community...
