LIAN LI PC-P80 Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Had this case for almost a year now and it's worked like a champ. Quite a few things to say: 1. Easiest for fitting an SR-2 without too much modification. You will ideally, need to tap one mounting point on the motherboard tray to fit every screw on the SR-2. 2. Once it's filled with SR-2 and an SR-2 PSU, it's quite tight but you have enough room to work in. If this has a regular board combo in it, expect lots of room! 3. Top fan is controlled by an IO header board underneath the slanting part of the case next to the top inputs. 4. All 3 front door fans are controlled by an IO header below the lowest fan in a rectangular box at the bottom of the door. 5. I don't know how long main the main fans last as I replaced all mine with YateLoon Red LED ones. For tips on re-wiring the case, please reference videos mentioned below. 6. To access the top fan, unscrew the 8 screws horizontally around the top panel, then unscrew 6 more to removed the angled top section.

Cons: There are only a few seeing as how this is the first premium and "real" case I've owned in a long time: 1. Black metallic screws appear non heat-treated and are soft. I've stripped 3 or 4 working on this with normal pressures. This has required me to very carefully DRILL the screws and tap them out. Lian-Li, PLEASE heat treat your black screws! Better yet, match them and go get matching, stronger screws ;) 2. Very long graphics cards may make inserting or removing hard drives tricky due to having to pull drives back out of the cage. 3. Cages are oftentimes wedged in and barely want to move at all. Why this wasn't turned 90 degrees is baffling me. 4. Wish The Egg would carry the P80N version - depending on your needs, it seems to simply refine everything that made the original P80 so great. Not a con but this case is heavy when full of course. It's solid though and I couldn't be happier.

Overall Review: If you'd like to learn more about some of the specifics with building this case and an SR-2, I have quite a few Youtube videos documenting the process under "CosplayerTheRealLink". Other: 1. Removable dust filter = awesome. Saved me so much dust build-up. I still blow it out every couple weeks with a Dustvac and clean the filter. 2. Heavy. Solid. GREAT! 3. The 3 fans on the front door *can* connect via daisy-chained molexes alone to a 4-pin to fan header converter - just barely. They tuck into the side indents of the door well enough. 4. Small inconvenience to open the door for any disc needs but again, I do like the finished and clean look. 5. I have 3 opticals in the top 3 bays and a 3.5" Rosewill card reader in the 4th. So far, should I accidently nudge the door, I've yet to see a memory card be eaten by a fan. Optical drives have enough umph to knock the case door open by the way should they eject a disc. 6. Keylock is great for moving w/o door opening.

Pros: Huge. Lots of air with low noise. Fan speed control, fans on front door (so you don't have to give up fan to get a peripheral, removable mobo tray, love the HDD trays. Many places to zip tie cables for management. Lian Li always has great thought put into their cases. This is the third I've built with, and I must say all three have been great. This is the nicest I of them and my favorite case to date. A whole in the MB tray made it perfect to run the front panel connectors behind the MB tray, up through the hole, and right to the headers on the mainboard. I like the latch on the door.

Cons: The one thing that frustrated me was screwing in the bottom HDD tray into the 5.25 bracket. Unlike the two middle sets, the bottom cage does not rest on anything, so you have to either hold it there, or mess with it while the case is on its side. It's not terrible, just more old school in case design there. This is of course made up by the ridiculous good design everywhere else! I would have given an inch on the bottom to gain an inch between the PSU and mainboard. It still all works out. My previous case had two of the riser card stabilizers whose stabilizing arms were MUCH better, had thumbscrews to hold into place, etc. They also gave me more places to zip tie things to. This is pretty minor, but still - the vga card stabalizers seemed weak compared to all the other well thought out features.

Overall Review: Someone here said you can only put 4 drives in. It does appear this way at first, but it is not true. The bottom 3.5 slot in each cage has the 5.25 adapter covering it, but there is a hole to insert a screwdriver through so you can screw the drive in. I have 4 HDDs in it now. This case with five fans running at high is still more quiet than my old case with a single 120mm fan. Pretty awesome.

Pros: Excellent case, lots of room, removable MB tray and mid-case internal support being removable make fitting large coolers and PSU's a breeze. Superb airflow from the fans that come with it and you can hardly hear it running even with a fairly noisy NB fan. Great attention to detail on providing smooth surfaces.

Cons: Can't really say I have a negative at all. The case is definitely not cheap but, I think I got everything I paid for.

Overall Review: If you are going to build a high end machine with large cooler/s and PSU's this is the case for you. The front connector cables all have sufficient length for a full size ATX MB and are a single molded design rather than a big mess of individual wires with connectors that you have to decipher to hook up. Also the case is suprisingly light due to the materials of construction and design. VERY PLEASED!!!

Pros: This Tower is just simply mind blowing. It has all the awesome features you could ask for. LOTS of room to work with making this user friendly, I wasn't expecting it to be so huge. My temps are all roughly the same from my old tower thats to be expected since its twice the volume it has to cool from my old mid tower) except all my GPU's are 10 degrees colder since I now have room (10 expansion slots!) to put in a PCI fan. The fan Filter is awesome, it catches so much dust keeping all the inside parts and fans squeaky clean. Electronics love to be dust free!! (I usually find dust is a killer of electronics, one of my older computers had problems/fried cause dust clogged the fans and ram/mobo overheated) The support bar and HDD cages are pretty genius ideas to have in this tower. Pretty handy. Lots of drive bays and and room inside for future upgrades be it more HDD's, Watercooling, you name it! This tower is meant to last and is very light weight.

Cons: Price. Limited to the amount of words I can write to review this awesome tower.

Overall Review: Fans are roughly 72 CFM and pretty quiet. My zerotherm CPU fan is louder I think lol. Think I might try to upgrade to some 100ish CFM fans to get a more of a punch on the cooling end (Dust filter cuts back a little on airflow, but who cares as long as you're dust free!!)... High end 140mm fans are rare though :(

Pros: This case is expensive but worth every penny invested. It's roomy and has excellent airflow. There are no plastic tool less tabs to break in other similar sized and designed cases. Everything is designed to be removed and replaced with ease. It can accomodate a regular sized PSU or a large PSU (up to 23cm) like my 1200w PSU. The air filter in the front is easy to pull out, clean (rinse with water), and replace. Although it doesn't look flashy it is one sleek and elegant looking case. I highly recommend it IF you can afford it.

Cons: Expensive, no side panel window, not a tool less case (not meant to be owned by amateurs anyway and I'm not a fan of tool less cases), and a little noisier than some full towers.

Pros: It is large. Simply the best case ever. The craftsmanship is top notch and working inside the case is easy. Fits the DangerDen Thermochill or BlackIce Extreme 120 radiators nicely (I tried both).

Cons: It is large. Pretty heavy to move around once it is loaded. Two of my seven hard drives in the case stay warm at 45C, because they sit in the gap between the fans. All the over drives stay at 40C. Not an issue if you have room to shuffle them around to catch airflow. The fan control doesn't affect much.

Pros: Great case,lots of room for almost any liquid cooling system.The fan controler is a plus. Had to remove the vidio card support bracket to be able to install the Freezone Elite.Still trying to find a way to install my 12TEC Boreas Chiller by CoolIt Systems.May need to remove the bottom HDD cage to be able to install the Boreas.Overall its a great case and one of the best Lian Li has made to date.

Cons: Even on low the 140mm fan s are kind of loud and i have a hearing loss. I just ordered 4 / 140mm fans with only 16 dba to replace the stock 140mm

Overall Review: P80/eVGA 780i/QX9650 cooled by a Freezone Elite. / 4Gbs PC8500 Dominators / 150GB Raptor X, WD 750GB, WD 500GB / BFG PhysX Card / Silverstone 1200W / Two 8800 Ultras / Two Lite On 20x DVD Burners / Saitek Red Eclipse / Razer 3G / Razer eXact Mat

Pros: Typical high quality Lian Li design and fabrication. I purchased the PC-80 as an upgrade from an older Lian Li case that's served me well for years. The attention to detail and ease-of-use for Lian Li cases is unmatched in my opinion. This case has a TON of room, great airflow (reduced my video card temps by 15 celsius under load), assembles easily and looks great in the dark (unless you're trying to sleep; see Cons). Some may prefer the smaller version of this case, the PC-60. I went with the bigger one as futureproof insurance. If you can afford it, I do not think you will be disappointed with this case.

Cons: The four 140mm fans all glow bright neon blue. I used to like this kind of thing, but with the PC in my bedroom, the blue glow has become an annoyance when trying to sleep. You can throw something over it to block the light, but a switch would have been great. The manual (and website, for that matter) would benefit from better English. This has been a problem with Lian Li for years. You can read and understand what they are saying, but additional detail would have been appreciated on certain descriptions. I will not list "cost" as a con as no one if forcing you to pay the asking price. You get what you pay for, and if you've ever owned or worked with a Lian Li case, you know you're buying quality.

Overall Review: The fans are not as loud as some reviewers would have you believe. They are large and with the dial turned all the way to silent, they are still able to move a large amount of air without being too noisy.
