Standard ATX/EPS power supply fit?

I bought 4 of these things.

Any power supply I've ever seen would fit it.  You just have to be careful to size the wattage to the load, of course.   This is a HUGE case, but I ran into space troubles as the front disk drive cage is place so that the 24 pin power cable takes up space that would be used by 2 of the 6 possible drive spaces.  So only 4 spaces in the card cage are available, and that is ONLY if you do not use any full-length PCI cards.  I used a double-wide, full length video card and lost 2 additional spots in the card cage.

Question 2

Are the flanges strong enough to mount directly to a 2-post rack without rails?

That is the way mine is mounted. I have not seen any problems. Mine has been in the rack for several months now and gets moved around now and then. Everything is still tight and solid.

Question 3

Does the 17.72" depth of this case include the front handles?

Accepted Answer

No, the box itself measures about 17 3/4 inches deep, measured inside the rack from the rear.  The handles add another 2 1/4 inches or so to the front of the unit. Exact measurements are not possible at this time since it is inside the rack and being used to type this.

Question 4

I need to swap out an older 4U rack server and slide in another.  Plenty of space to the rear over 30"s.  The spec on this is 7.5" tall, a 4U rack should be 7".  Is it really 7.5"? or is that a mistake.

Mine measures a few mm less than 7 inches, as it should. It is mounted in a rack at the bottom and there is other rack mounted equipment above it.

Question 5

Does the mount support Micro ATX boards? Also does the 120mm fan fit a rad?

I have a micro atx board in this atm. The 120mm fan sits directly in front of the drive cage/rack so a radiator will not fit.

Question 6

Received the case today. I'm wondering what all the parts are for in the clear plastic. Screws and MB mounting screw are self explanatory. but what is the flat pieces of metal for. I didn't find a manual in the box. Is there any directions for this case ro help for installing MB?

Hello. Are the flat pieces you are speaking about red? If so, those are not metal. However, they're just washers. You can use them with the MB screws to help from hurting the MB with the screws. They ARE NOT necessary when it comes to installing the MB into the case. Other than that, that bag should only contain stand-offs, washers, Motherboard screws, CD Rom screws/MB screws, and a set of keys.

Does the intake 120mm fan have a removable filter?

No, and all fans are 80mm.
