I'm thinking of using this for a gaming machine.  I was just wondering if anyone has fit a larger size video card inside of the these?

Not sure how big a card you're talking about but I'd imagine it will fit.  There are a couple of inches above the top of the bracket and the back of my standard size card is about 3 inches from the hard drive cage.  Width of the card shouldn't be an issue since this will fit an ATX board.  I hope this helps.

Does it accept NICs with standard bracket or low profile?

Standard bracket. This case is the same size as a normal desktop. Just on it's side with rackmounts.

Question 3

Does the front panel come off? I would kinda like to paint it, if not, thats ok, will work around that.

Yes it does, which is a good thing due to the front USB connections are at times disconnected or not placed correct on delivery.

Question 4

How do drives mount in the internal bays on this case?  It came with a set of purple plastic clips that the 3.5" drives slide into, but the clips + drive are too wide to slide back into the case together, and the drives alone are too narrow to stay in place...

Try fitting the clips onto the drive first. Make sure the clips are aligned so that when mated with the drive they fit closely with little or no visible space between the clips and the outside of the HDD. Hold the drive and the clips together and slide it in between the slots (oval if I remember correctly) until the drive clicks into place. Note that a standard 3.5 HDD will have 4 screw holes on the sides of the drive for mounting. Check if there are correspondng mounting points on the clips that might fit in the screw holes. You should not have to force it - it should just slide in. Good luck!

My RPC-430 just came today; I'm trying to put together a computer with it. What do I do with the small metal brackets that came in the small cardboard box? What are they for? :-/

Are you talking about the rack handles? What do they look like - are they black or are they metallic?

If they're metallic I think they go against the back of the hard drives (there should be a mounting hole on the top piece of sheet metal inside the case; the top of the bracket screws into it and holds the hard drives in place.

am doing a swap of guts from my hp envy tower to a server case that I want to put into an skb case for mobile audio recording will this do the job?

Depends on the motherboard in the HP Envy.  If it's using a standard ATX or Micro-ATX board, it should fit.  But if it's a reverse BTX, then it won't be oriented correctly.  Or if HP made it a non-standard size it may not fit.

can additional cooling fans be installed in the front?

There is very little space in this guy. I wouldn't garentee being able to get any additional anything in this guy. Let alone having decent circulation. Stick to low heat load for this case. With that said it does have duel fans In the rear.

Question 8

Anyone have pictures of what this case looks like on a rack? Kinda wanting to paint the front panel and make it a gaming pc with an i5, r9 390 gpu, 16-32gb ram, 4x 1tb hdds, and an ssd perhaps... kinda wanting to see how this one looks.

Typical black case in a flat black rack.  Nothing special about it.   I would not "paint" the front unless you're using thick acrylic paint, or you take the case apart, disassemble the buttons, then have someone bead it.  The black can be painted on, but it will change the color temp of the paint making it appear darker.  I did have one customer who wanted graphics on his server (radio station), and we used one of those shops which does the vinyl lettering.  The logo and artwork was a lot sharper than paint would have ever been.  Besides, they used reflective letters for their name.  It stands out.  As for the case, I've purchase this case exclusively for most clients, and I'm VERY pleased with them.

Question 9

Is this server case compatible with the Norco W-609 9U 450mm Depth Wallmount 19" Cabinet? 
I'm concerned about the overall depth of product (advertised as 15 inches) fitting into a 16 inch depth enclosure.

Not sure of the compatibility, but I have this case and it measures exactly 15 7/8" deep, plus 1 1/4" on the front for the handles. That depth does not include cables in the back. I personally need 3" clearance in the rear of the box for cables, but could squeeze into 2" with a little effort and some strain on the cables. I hope this helps!
