does this turn on with he computer? and does it remember previous settings? such as being on smooth multicolor or, strobing. etc.

Accepted Answer

Yes, it turns on automatically with the computer and remembers the settings you had last. You can change these settings with the remote if you would like. However, once you shut down the computer the last settings you had will be saved and they will be applied every time you start up until you change them.

Does it take a toll on the power supply?

I don't know the exact power consumption but I'm sure it's minimal at best. They're super small LED's and LED's don't use much power at all to begin with.

The specs say: 
Input Voltage: 12VDC Output current: 6A (Max)
Max load current: 2A each color

Basically I wouldn't worry about it. 
I can tell you they produce very bright, beautiful colors and looks great when hidden properly in the system.

Question 3

How to install this thing?  connect to USB 3.0 ?

This isn't a ISB device. Its powered by a 4-pin Molex. Stash the white box somewhere, make sure the end that transmits to the remote is visible, place you LED strip with the included adhesive, plug it into the white box. That's it.

If i wanted to extend the rgb strip would i have to buy another one of these kits or is there a rgb strip only that i could get?

They sell the strips separately, but they're in and out of stock so often, that it gets pretty frustrating trying to find them.  They also sell these kits with larger spools of the LED strip, and they aren't terribly expensive.

Question 5

Everywhere I see this package listed, it mentions that it's "extendable" via the included extension pins. But nobody seems to sell logisys branded extension strips of RGB LEDs. Do those exist? Will any such LED strips work? Thanks.

The extension strip is from Phobya, which uses the setup as Logisys. I hope Neweggs sells em soon but you can do a Google Search for :

Question 6

My remote broke, is it a universal remote so any replacement will work with the strip already installed in my computer?

yes and no.  some companies just put their label on someone else's product and call it their own.  So if you got a replacement that did that it would work.  However there are a lot of manufactures of this product out there and as so it may work slightly ex some buttons work but different colors show up, and other will not work at all.  So as long as you are getting the same manufacturer then it should be just fine as long as it is the same model.  If you get something that just looks similar it may or may not work.

Question 7

does the adapter from molex to dc at anytime interupted by male and female connector? It looks like you could use a fan splitter as power but i cant tell exactly from the picture? if it is how many pins is the fan connector.

I am thinking about splitting a fan port on my motherboard one for a fan and the other for the led's power. Can I do this?

DO NOT use a fan header to power this, use a 4 pin Molex from your PSU.  If all yours are in use, that's why there's the extra male plug on the lights - use your head!  From the picture, it's clear that it has a male and a female 4 pin Molex.  This is the normal arrangement for add-in fans, lights, and anything else - just unplug ANY 4 pin Molex that's in use, plug the lights in there, and the plug the extra male 4 pin Molex into the original socket you unplugged - this is not rocket science - I know a 7-year-old child who has no problems figuring this out!

is fit with DIYPC Zondda-O Black case?

The strip will fit in any case. You just need to make sure that the sensor,  extending from the white brick,  is not blocked after being installed. If it is blocked it won't be able to receive a signal from the remote. My window panel prevent the signal sometimes so I placed the sensor behind the mesh where I had a fan installed.

What battery does the remote take? The back of the remote says CR 2025 BUT when I opened the package I found a CR 2032 in the remote. Needless to say that the remote wasn't working so I looked at the battery and compared it to what the case said.

The 2025 is slightly thinner than the 2032
They are the same except that the 25 is lower amp rating. The 
25 at the end is 2.5mm verses the 3.2 mm you were using.. It'll 
work just fine but not last as long. 
The 20 at the start is the width of the cell. 
My remote has the 2025 battery and works fine, but I haven't tried a 2032 yet.
