Why only 3 Gbps? SATA 3 has been out for almost a decade now. Are these cables spec'd at 3 Gbps because they fail testing for 6 Gbps and can't be sold as such?

Because this is a SATA 2 cable. It says that in the description.

This cable support  6 Gbps ?   What's different in cables  supported  3 Gbps  and 6 Gbps. Thank You .

Gbps is gigabits per second. *note BITS not BYTES*  so 6 Gbps is going to be faster.  You also should check if your device that your connecting uses 6 or 3 Gbps, as well as if your motherboard supports that speed.

I have read some reports which conclude, that when properly tested, even generic SATA II cables provide essentially identical results as the newer SATA III rated cables.  
So, there may be some marketing hype going on in the marketplace in this regard.
