Question 1

Is this cable powered in case I need to run a power USB device from it?

The best answer I can give is to tell you what I'm using it for.  I ordered two, one feeds a hub with a separate power supply, and the other feeds a USB to HDMI external video card that has an optional power supply that I've found to be unnecessary.

Oddly enough, it seems to actually be two 32.5' cables with a permanently attached single port hub in the middle connecting them end to end.  I say this because when I first hooked it up to the hub built into my computer case, I ended up getting an error when trying to use a Bluetooth mouse/keyboard receiver in the hub at the far end.  The error stated that the device I was attempting to use was too many hubs away from the source.  I switched it to one of the motherboard's native USB ports, reducing the number of hubs by one, at which point it worked just fine.

Sorry I asked if this cable is compatible with windows 8 and I meant if this cable supports windows 8?

I did briefly use this cable with a Win 8.1 laptop as an extension and it worked fine ...no stats or measurements for proof however.
    But it was bought to run a USB b/g/n wi-fi dongle up a tv antenna pole affixed to an old sat dish in an attempt to operate a long (3/4 mile) wi-fi link to a friend's garage/man cave. At which we run 4 bars typically, which is generally 'Good enough'.

I would like to know if this cable is also compatible with windows 8?

I used this on a Nightowl DVR to be able to control it from far away so I can't say for sure which Windows OS will support it however it requires no drivers or software to operate. It just simply extends an existing USB port so it should be just fine in any application. Good luck.

Question 4

How many Active Repeaters are mounted along the 65ft cable ??  At roughly what distances ??  Or only 1 at middle and 1 at end, as it seems from the images ??
What are the dimensions of the Active Repeaters ??

I'm honestly not sure if that's a repeater on the end or not.  For the size of it, I'd guess that it probably is.  There is definitely one in the middle, though.  It's currently in my attic crawlspace, so I'll have to give you my best guess as to the size.  1.25" x 2.5"x 0.75"

I did have trouble at first hooking up a hub to the far end, receiving an error (too many hubs) when attaching a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse receiver.  Once I changed it from the hub port in my tower to a native USB port, it worked fine.

Question 5

The repeater in the middle of the cable - is it really in the middle (~32 feet)?  Or is more toward one of the ends (male vs female).  Would really like to know the distance to end (and which end) if its not in the middle

It's not the middle.  It's fairly close to the male end that plugs into the computer.  I'm not going to move furniture to get access to it to measure, but I'd guess it's ABOUT 10 feet from the male end.

I've never had issues with all the devices I have on the other end.
