Im considering buying a GIGABYTE GV-R5876P-2GD-B Radeon HD 5860. Unfortunately, the only ports it has are 6 MiniDisplay ports. If I buy two of these (as i run a dual monitor setup), will it work just fine?

Hello there fellow shopper, I bought one of these cables for my intel NUC computer and it has been working great for about 4 months, so I can say that the quality of the cable has been great so far.

To answer your question:
Yes, this cable will work just fine for your setup as long as your monitors have the standard DVI inputs that pretty much all monitors do these days.

Here's some more info that will probably be helpful to you:
The only thing this video adapter cable does is transport the video signal from miniDisplay port to DVI port.

Basically, it just matches up the correct wiring pins from one side to the other so that your video card (that sends the signal through the miniDisplay interface) can talk to your monitor (that receives the signal through the DVI interface).

The video source (video card) determines how many displays are supported. If a video card supported 100 simultaneous displays, then 100 of these cables would transport the video signals from miniDisplay to DVI and all 100 monitors would work.

does it work with apple mac book pro?

I have a 2008 MacBook (not Pro) and it works fine.  As for your MacBook Pro, a forum page at Apple says

"If you have a newer Macbook Pro, the mini display port is actually the Thunderbolt port. You can plug any mini display port connector into the Thunderbolt port."

so it sounds like this DVI cable should work fine on your MacBook Pro as well.
