New motherboard with only one fan header. Old case with 3 pin fans. Will this work with the old black, yellow, red wired fans?

It will work with any 3 pin. I have 4 in my rig right now.

Question 2

Does this splitter have 4 pin connections on both of the cables coming off of it? Also I have heard some people say that one splitter cannot support two pwm signals and it won't work. Is that true? I am planning on buying two of these and want to control all four fans via PWM.

It does. Single 4pin on one end (connects to the header on the motherboard) that splits into two 4pins on the other end(for two fans). I have been using three of these splitters in my system for over a year now, have had zero issues out of them.  But the fans I am using are only 3pin, I'm not utilizing the 4pin connections.

Question 3

If I connect this splitter to a Motherboard 4 pin PWM connector and connect 2,  3 Pin Chassis fans will the connected 3 Pin fans speed be controlled by the speed signal coming off the 4 Pin Motherboard connector ???
