Has anybody used this with a SSD? I don't see anything to make me think it won't work, but I would like to get some confirmation.

Hi Doug!  This works great with SSDs and USB 2 and 3.  . I used it to clone a 500 g hard drive to a 500 g Samsung 840 pro ssd.  The Samsung software provided with the drive is excellent.

Question 2

What is the drive size limit that is supported--most are 2TB--can it handle 3, 4, or 6TB?

Hi Nasair!  I really don't know what the limit is. I used it to clone from a 500 gig hard drive to a 500 gig solid state drive.  It was fantastic! I looked on what came with my drive converter and it says  that it supports any size drive!! So go for it!

I have a WD SATA 350GB internal drive - 7200. Would this product be compatible with my dirve?

I think so. This product worked with my internal 2.5" WD 500g 7200rpm great. and I bought this self powered adapter because I don't like the idea of using the USB powered devices for doing large file transfers.

Question 4

Will this work with Ultra ATA?  I have two older Seagate drives (ST3250824A & ST380021A) I would like to use it with.

If your drive does not have a sata port plug, it will not work. New Egg sells a different device like this for ide/pata 2.5" interfaces and I'm not sure but, when you say "ultra ATA" I think that is a technology not physical descriptor. 2.5" IDE drives have the long rectangle plug and SATA drives have the smaller flatter plug with a split.
   Also, FWIW, I bought this after looking around and reading up on drive adapters and I am soooo happy with it. A powered adapter will never have a power problem with larger high performance drives and the USB adapters that just use power from the USB source could possibly fail during a big file transfer. I use this one for cloning my whole 500g 7200rpm drive as a back-up and it works great. If I get a IDE adapter I will buy a powered one of those as well.

Would this work If I am connecting a LiteOn IHAS Burner 124b to a Laptop (Lenovo B570) ?

I see no reason why it wouldn't, though it is only designed for hard drives and SSD's the included power cord would give the burner the needed power required.
