Just to confirm, I am trying to replace the default video graphics cable that came with my EVGA PSU for two GTX 960s (8 pin each) for looks mainly.

Q1. I see two versions of this cable but I believe I presently have (6+2) instead of a (4+4). So this should work correct?

Q2. How is the quality of this? Is it comparable to corsair / evga / nzxt? Any compromises you know about?

If you are trying to replace the modular cable that came with the EVGA PSU, this won't work.  Those are male connectors on both ends.  This cable is for extending the reach of an 8pin or a 6+2pin cable.  It has a female end for attaching to an existing cable, and a male end for the video card.

So, for Q1, there aren't two versions.  You won't be able to connect it to a 4+4 cable because the pins are keyed to prevent that.  It can only be used with a 6pin or 6+2pin cable.

For Q2, the build quality is excellent.  As I've moved video cards around and removed and reattached these cables, they have worked flawlessly, and show no signs of wear on the sleeves.
