Is this true 4K @ 4096 x 2160, or the other stuff 3840 x 2160? Didn't see this mentioned in the specs, and just saying 4K doesn't mean much when there are more than 1 setting for "4K".

To be honest I just use them for 1080 displays so I can run multiple hdmi monitors off of a DisplayPort video card.  Startech makes pretty good product, I've never been disappointed.

I'm not sure about a "PS4 Pro".  Your question points at the Newegg page for the StarTech DP2HD4K60S, which is the one I bought.  I haven't tried mine with 4K.  The specifications and product description do say that it works with 4K, and I'd be inclined to believe it.  The manufacturer's web page confirms that.  I bought it for a different reason.  This device will translate the HDCP (High Density Content Protection) handshake from an HDMI input on a TV or monitor to DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection).  Most DisplayPort outputs are licensed for both, but the device I have is DPCP-only.  Connected by a passive adapter or cable to the HDMI input on a TV, my DisplayPort output would not turn on.  This gadget fixed that problem.
