I have an HDTV (with HDMI ports) and several old gaming platforms (N64, PS2, Wii, etc.) running into an RCA switch. Will this cable allow me to play my old games on my new tv via an HDMI port?

I was not happy with my choice.  It was not compatible with my flat screen TV (Emerson) Not sure if it was the cable or TV.  I tried with an LG and had some better results but still not what I expected.  Could be on me as I expected more.

I like to know if this works to connect Netgear neo video stream player

I purchased this cable to use a laptop to connect to a tv as a monitor. I found out I could not get any signal from the laptop to the tv. It was the second time I got something to convert to a tv and it did not work. I hope this can answer your question.

does the computer cord have to be plugged in for the cord to work?

Dear Brad, Sorry to say, we didn't purchase this for the computer,but for our old t.v to new vcr for viewing. We haven't even used our cord, we ended up purchasing a new t.v, finally. I would suggest asking your local tech center for advice, even though they might steer you towards buying a new device. Also, I've asked tech question's right through google. my cable did not work between my Emerson 19" LCD and RCA dvd player. I am not sure if I had a bad cable or they just would not work. For the price the cable cost I did not worry since it was cheap enough to test.

Question 5

Can I use this cable to dub a SD card in a Sony Hanicam to a VCR to record the contents to a DVD? 
I do not need to use the blue computer hookup.

I bought this cable to use the vga on a laptop to use the hdmi on my tv as a monitor. I was disappointed to find I could not view anything on the tv. I am thinking of try it with the rca connectors. It seems like I wasted my money.

I am trying to use this for a hd tv that the hdmi outlets no longer work.   I would like to use the rca connector to the tv and the hdmi to the new blue ray player.
Will this work?

I actually never got a chance to use this as I wasn't able to make it work myself. The best I can summize is that it depends on the device and if it can put out an analog signal. If you device, which a Blu-Ray player most certainly it, it may not be able to push through a signal.

Sorry, this may not help but its the best that I have for something that didn't work.

will the 3 prong plug then go to my tv hdml port?

No, the HTML is the input part of the cable the RCA plugs are the output cables. This is for connecting a PC to a TV that does not have HTML.  But this does not work as the HTML has to have a feedback from the device it connects to and that is not possible with the RCA or VGA plugs.  The cable has the bellow note in the product description.  You must have a digital signal converter to make the connection for the PC.

Please kindly note: cable might not work by just connecting PC with TV. Your video output device must support both analog and digital signal conversion and output function. Please consult with your video output devices user manual for more information

I am trying to to connect Netgear  Neo Video steam whit HDMI to an old  analog  TV with RCA input. this Tv also has S-VIDEO  input.. any suggestion?

Hi Ray,

To be honest, I haven't used this product yet.  However, I can tell you that S-Video is supposed to provide a better picture, but it doesn't provide audio, so you have to hook up the audio with the RCA connections (Red and White connectors).  But, it seems the only option you have with this particular cable is to use the Yellow connector for the video and the Red and White for the audio as described above.

I am trying to find a way to connect my nephew's new XBox ONE (hdmi connector) to an old but fully functional Sony 32" WEGA. The tv has component (HD) input connectors and a VGA input (with red and white rca connectors) This connection is enclosed in a box on the back of the tv so… I'm guessing the VGA (marked video in "DVI/ 7) and the audio rya jacks are meant to be used together? Or would I be able to use the HD "in" component jacks? I am lost.. can you help me?

hi i want to hook my laptop up to my old school tube tv and was wondering if this would work for that? i do have and hdmi output on my laptop and rca on the tv but want to be sure that this will work before i make this purchase.

I got it for my psi to a projector and sadly it didn't work. It's because one signal is digital " the hdmi" and the rain and vga are analog so I wouldn't get it if I was you. Spend the extra money to get a powered converter.
