Pros: Nice inexpensive way to supply power to the CPU on a motherboard that has a P8 auxiliary power connector when your PSU has only a P4 connector.
Cons: I tried using this on an Antec SmartPower 2.0 450W power supply when it became apparent that the XFX motherboard had a P8 connector. Found out from one of the other reviews on the XFX motherboard that the P8 connector was not really necessary at all. Oh, well. It may still come in handy in the future.
Overall Review: If you are using a high-end video card and a dual-core processor, check your power supply and use a power supply wattage calculator (there are several on the Internet) to determine the power needs of your computer's configuration. If your power supply falls below the recommended wattage for your config, a new power supply that meets that wattage recommendation will probably have the P8 connector on it.
