Unfortunately some who purchased the board could not update the BIOS to recognize an Ivy Bridge processor without first getting the board running utilizing a Sandy Bridge processor. Your G2020 CPU is an Ivy Bridge processor. The BIOS version on the board I received is supposed to recognize Ivy Bridge processors like yours. The problem is that my processor was a Sandy Bridge so I can't tell you that your Ivy Bridge will be recognized. Unless you have a Sandy Bridge processor lying around and are comfortable flashing a BIOS you might want to keep looking for a board that definitely recognizes Ivy Bridge Processors.

Is the Wifi pretty solid on this M.B. ?

The WiFi card that it comes with is of good quality however, it is a little bit old at this point, and does not support some of the latest WiFi technologies such as 5ghz networks. So in my opinion, it is not great. However, the card can easily be replaced for around $20.00 and you can still use the existing antennas/wiring. If your router does not have 5ghz capability, then this isn't an issue.

The range seems to be fairly good (I have full bars with the router on one end and my computer on the other end of my my 1100 sq ft apartment), but of course this will also depend on your router. I have never experienced connectivity issues or intermittent connectivity.

I replaced the WiFi card with a current intel model in order to take advantage of my 5ghz router, and had no issues. Just make sure you download drivers for the new card before installing it.

In summary, this has solid/dependable (but somewhat dated) WiFi hardware, but can be upgraded to the latest technology fairly cheaply. I hope this answers your question.

Can some one confirm whether it works with ivy bridge cpu OUT OF BOX or not? Don't have a sandy bridge cpu to upgrade the bios.

Yes. I have bought an e3-1230v2 to install and worked fine without BIOS upgrade.

If I put a decent GPU and a good processor in it with around 8GB of RAM, will this work for light to moderate gaming?

yes it will. games arent generally processor heavy they are gpu intensive they tax the crap out of your gpu's. and since most intel cpu's use a pch instead of a north/south bridge it doesnt really matter what processor you get aslong as its atleast a dual core with 3.0-3.5 ghz you are going to be okay. also note that you dont really need 8 GB/s of ram but its nice to have
