Code gets emailed to your Newegg account. Then you need to register at "amdrewards dot com" and enter code there and then AMD will send you codes when they are available, it took about a week to get my resident evil 2 code to activate on steam btw.

Did AMD fix the transfer bridge overheating/game crashing problem people had when the card was released.?

I am not certain about a "transfer bridge", but I heard about over heating too when I first ordered the card, and was concerned about it. Since purchase, I have watching my temps while gaming frequently and I can tell you that while the card does run hot, it has not over heated on me once, even while stress testing. I don't like to see temps over 100c, so since testing I have increased the fan curve as I don't mind a little extra noise. For all the complaints about it being loud it doesn't affect my gaming session with or without headphones. Back to heat though...only once during stress testing did I see it get near max temp of 114c, and without any intervention the card sped up it's fans and brought the temp back lower.

16gb.. .   What uses that much memory?

Professional applications, content creation, and/or workstation uses. For gamers it's mostly negligible unless running [very] high quality mods/textures. As described above by using 4 stacks it doubles the memory bus width and more than doubles the bandwidth of Vega 10.

Is there a AMD workstation  card to compare with this Radeon VII?

There are not currently any Workstation cards based on 7nm Vega. There is the Radeon Pro WX 8200, based on Vega 56 (14nm) with 8GB of HBM2, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, based on Vega 64 (14nm) with 16GB of HBM2, or the Radeon Pro SSG, based on Vega 64 (14nm) with 16GB of HBM2 and 2TB of onboard Solid State Storage.

The best way to confirm specs is actually by checking the manufacturer's website. With many of our products you can click on the "Warranty & Returns" tab and you will find the Manufacturer's contact info, including the manufacturer's website. It appears with the Raedeon VII cards, AMD has not implemented support for Crossfire.
