How does the hdmi connect to the gpu?

If you have a modern high-mid to high-end card (nVidia GTX 1060, GTX 1070, GTX 1080, or AMD R9 Fury if I recall, I only know 100% about the GTX 1060), there will be 2 HDMI ports on the rear of the card that was made for exactly this type of front panel. This front panel was made to cater to these types of cards - the ones with the "VR Ready" logo displayed. If you don't have a GPU with this feature, you probably shouldn't concern yourself with this bracket too much, but you can use the supplied bracket to make it a female-to-female, and then plug an short 6" HDMI cable into the bracket that runs to your GPU. The only thing this would accomplish would be allowing you to have front HDMI ports on your PC that are easier to get to than the rear ones.
