can model 9000544 be used with hp pro 3500 and what about power connections?

If you have an open IO slot this card should fit. Power is connected to a standard Molex 4 pin power plug. You may need a "Y" power cable if your computer does not have a spare plug available. Mu card works very well.

Is this card compatible with the 2010 Mac Pro running mountain lion (10..8.x)?

No and it is a bad product in windows. I had to buy a different card after I bought this one

Is this compatible with an MSI B85M-G43?

I have no idea. I assume if you have an pci-e slot available it will work. But for mobo specifics check the manufacuter's comparability list.
