Supermicro's AS-1020A-TB 1U barebone server has a big bang in a small package. The front panel has four hot swap drive bays, a slim DVD-ROM drive and a slim floppy drive. On the back there is one regular height and one low profile expansion bay. 700W Hot-swap AC power supply with PFC provide redundant power to the server.
The Super H8DSP-i motherboard supports two Opteron 200 series processors. Eight DIMM sockets can handle up to 32GB DDR266/333 or 16GB DDR400 memory. The SATA controller supports RAID levels 0, 1 and 10.
AT's RageXL controller with 8 MB of video memory provides graphics support. Dual gigabit ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an RS-232 port and PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports round out the ports on this system.
