Does this fit and work on a intel s5000psl mobo with two xeon E5450 3ghz quadcores?

The spec sheets I've seen for that motherboard show the CPU sockets are *very* close together.  I purchased these to go on a SuperMicro X8DTL-IF, which has DIMM slots very close to the CPUs, and they clear the DIMMs (barely) because the cooling fins don't go outside the footprint of the retaining screws.  The only thing I'd be concerned about is the housing for the fan -- this isn't an issue on my MoBo because the CPUs are not right next to each other, but on the S5000PSL they are.  The fan guards might butt up against each other, as they *do* extend a quarter inch or so outside of that square footprint.  I'd suggest you pick up one, try mounting it and see if it would be a problem.  You can return it or substitute a passive heat sink for the second CPU if you don't want to go to that trouble.
