Supermicro lets you take advantage of the increasing capacities of 3.5" form factor drives with the AS-2022G-URF 2U server barebones system. It is based on the H8DGU-F motherboard and will accept up to 2 AMD Opteron 6100 series processors. To support all the processing power you can install up to 256GB registered ECC DDR3 memory in 16 DIMM slots.

The front of the chassis has 8 hot swappable 3.5" SAS/SATA drive bays. The motherboard has 6 SATA 3Gb/s ports and supports RAID 0, 1, and 10. A UIO and three PCI-e Gen 2.0 x8 slots provide the maximized expandability and flexibility.

All these fit into a 2U chassis. The whole thing is powered by a 1+1 720W redundant, 80 Plus Gold Certified power supply so the system will get all the power that it needs. The back panel has two USB 2.0 and two Gigabit Ethernet ports.
