Can I use the USB port to connect another drive?

I am not entirely sure, but I would recommend looking at another product. The only reason that we keep buying this unit is because our RAID is bound to the unit and the brass is too cheap to let us migrate.

Long story short, the power supplies on these things burn out relatively quickly. We've gone through 3 in 6 years. That should say it all.

Question 2

Can we use each drive separately?  
On mac apears 5 separate disks???

Mine is set up as a raid 5 and it only shows one disk on a  mac.  You can use the switches on the back or the software to set it up for the raid configurations. I called cine raid customer service and they helped me with setting it up with the software as they said it was easier with the software than to use the switches on the back of the unit. Hope that helps.

what is the maximum storage size of each individual hard drive you can install in this unit?

I put 5 x 4TB on this unit and it's been working beautifully since I set it up as a 16TB RAID 5 (20TB - 4TB) 6 months ago. SO 4TB per drive for sure.

Linux compatability for RAID set up software?

I purchased three units and I didn't see any Linux drivers on the cd. The units work perfectly well. You can call support for your questions. Their support is awesome.

It is possibility whos working each drive separatly?,

It is possible to work with each drive separately.
The DIP switches should be set to "NORMAL" mode. (they come that way as default). That is how I use it myself. All five drives appear as separate drives on the computer.

As for use with a Mac computer, I don't know. I use it on a Windows PC.
