CYBEX Secure Desktop KVM Switches Universal DP/H Secure Desktop Matrix 2x8 KVM with CAC, PP4.0

The Vertiv CYBEX SCM185DPH-400 is a secure desktop KVM switch for users who need to control computers across different security classifications with one set of peripherals. Designed to Common Criteria PSD Protection Profile 4.0, it supports HDMI video up to UHD 4K at 60Hz and CAC or biometric reader authentication.

Recommended For

• Government and defense staff who need to operate computers at different security classifications from a shared workstation while keeping the systems isolated.
• Healthcare staff in environments where multiple computers handle different levels of sensitive data and need to be monitored from one desk.
• Fixed-workstation operators who need to switch keyboard and mouse control among as many as eight computers and view two active computers at once.
• Users who authenticate to connected systems with a CAC or compatible biometric reader and need that device securely shared between computers.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• At a government workstation, an operator moves between computers on separate security-classification networks using one keyboard and mouse, reducing the need to swap desk peripherals while keeping the systems isolated.
• When a role requires monitoring two separate computers at once, a user can keep both systems visible while securely controlling the one they need to work on.
• At a desk where users sign in to different connected systems with a CAC or other supported authentication device, the reader can be shared through the KVM rather than handled as a separate desk setup for each computer.
• In a healthcare organization managing systems with different data access requirements, staff can switch between connected computers from one workstation while maintaining separation between the systems.
• For an operator responsible for several secured computers, the matrix setup can reduce desk clutter by consolidating interaction with connected systems around a shared workstation instead of requiring a separate keyboard and mouse for each one.
