I have a MAC Book Pro. 6.1 Intel Core I7 (Processor speed is 2.66) with 4GB of memory. Will my MAC Book Pro handle 16GB of Memory?Would this product work for me or is there a better 16 GB memory.

It depends on what model year your macbook is.  If you click about this mac and more info it will list the year.  My macbook is a late 2011 and this memory worked great, so it should also work on a newer macbook.  If you want to be certain you can use a site like crucial which lets you put in the model/year of the laptop and it will tell you the quantity and speed the system can handle.

Question 2

My Mac 27" Mid2011 has 2 4GB module in used and two available slots. Can I use these two 8GB on available slots?

When I click on upgrade link int the "about this mac" it say to use 2 of 4 GB.

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer:
Your iMac has 4 slots, and Apple officially supports up to 16GB of DDR3 1333 ram (4x4gb). However, Third-Party sources have confirmed that your iMac is capable of utilizing a maximum of 32GB (4x8gb) of this ram.

Therefore, you have many options. i would recommend simply adding this to your current setup, giving you 24GB of ram. In the future you can even buy another set of 8GB sticks, and max out your computer with 32GB of ram!

FYI: I am the Hardware specialist at my work, and we have many MacBook Pros that officially only support 8GB of ram, but which are using this ram (16GB) without any issues. So, no need to be wary of 32GB not being 'officially supported by Apple'

will this memory work on iMac 12.2 3.4 GHz
it has 12 GB installed .with 16 GB more it will be running 24GB total.

The Apple site for that model says that thee maximum amount of RAM you can install in your computer is 16 GB (a 4 GB SO-DIMM in each slot.) The issue is that the hardware can only address a certain number of memory locations per module, and since Apple only specifies RAM module sizes of 2 GB or 4 GB in each slot, I wouldn't recommend adding two 8 GB modules - you'd be spending a LOT of money on memory you can't use. IN fact, I'd check the current configuration, because I've never heard of 3 or 6 GB memory modules, and I'm not sure how you could have 12 GB installed in the 4 slots. You may already have memory installed that you're not addressing.

It depends on the year it was made.  Find the model number and use it to search for memory.  The older models can only use 8gb, the newer ones can use 16gb.

Patriot Memory Mac Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Memory for Apple Model PSA316G1333SK. Is this the same as 16G memory, 1333MHz DDR3 suggested by Mac store? I want to be sure before I order. All the extra letters are confusing to me.

First go to Apple Support and find the model number of your computer. From that you will be able to determine the type memory your machine needs i.e. in this case it was DDR 1333 (PC3 10600). I then went online to NewEgg and found the DDR 1333 memory for my model MacBook Pro. Its simple to install. There are plenty of help video online.

Just bought a mac mini for photo editing and want to upgrade the memory to the max 16GB.  2.3 GGz quad core intel I7.  Will these work with this unit?  Thank you

I bought a Mac Mini In June 2013 with the following configuration:

2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
4GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1TB Fusion Drive.

Rather than pay Apple inflated prices for the memory upgrade I bought these Patriot memory modules to boost the machine to 16GB of RAM (2x8GB).

I've been very pleased with the machine's performance. As far as I can tell the memory is performing flawlessly.

I have a mid-2010 iMac currently with 4x2GB = 8GB. I would like to replace 2 of the 2GB with 2x8GB=16GB so my total would be 20GB is that possible?

I have the same generation MacBook.  They spec only 2x4mb but I did a little digging and found some people who put 2x8gb in.  I did, and it worked.  if you go to a memory website and plug in your model, they will tell you what is possible.

I own a MacBook Pro (mid 2010) and I am in need of more RAM. I have seen online that I can upgrade it from 4 up to 16. So I'm just trying to figure out what memory to get. I would hate to buy something and get it installed only to have it not work. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

The major memory module mfgs have an easy to use web application that allows you to input your Mac model number and it will then show which modules are appropriate for your machine.  Try the Patriot website.

Question 9

Will this memory work with a Mac Mini 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo? The model is 2.26/2X1G/160/SD/AP/BT.  It currently has 2 Gb 1067 MHz DDR3 memory. Someone told us that it can only take 4 Gb between the two slots.

It looks like the maximum memory is 8GB, 4GB per slot.   Officially it only supports 4GB total, but unofficially supports 8GB total.  	Supports 1066 MHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SO-DIMMs. I found this on another site 
Early 2009 model: "Officially, this model is capable of supporting 4 GB of RAM, but as first reported by MacminiColo, this model unofficially can use 8 GB of RAM after applying EFI Firmware Update 1.2."
Late 2009 model:"*Officially, this model is capable of supporting 4 GB of RAM, but as first reported by MacminiColo, this model unofficially can use 8 GB of RAM."

Will this unit work in a Macbook Pro 13" model A1278?

Can't be sure because more information is required about the A1278 model you have.

Search using the string Apple Macbook Pro A1278 you should find a topic How to identify MacBook Pro models - Support - Apple click it and it should take you to How to Identify Macbook Pro Models. Then find your machine look at the technical specs paying particular attention to the type of RAM installed.

You can also find the info on your computer. Go to your Main Drive>Application>Utilities>System Information then under Hardware look at Memory. What you looking for is the type of memory installed in the machine. As the memory I installed in our Macbook Pro being DDR3-1333 PC3-10600 was exactly the memory that was previously installed.

You will want to match the numbers you find with the memory your trying to buy. Also, make sure that the memory you buy states that it's for a Mac.
