In my experience, no driver is required if used with Windows XP and above (Win7 & 8.1).

I've just used trial and errotThe sim card might need an adapter itself  if it's really small. Otherwise, try one of the small slots and turn it around if it doesn't work on one side. The contacts may be on the other side...

Look at the specs from the maker site, I would think so, as it is a generic USB device and should work in most systems but not having a MAC I cannot confirm it personally.
