Does the AS5004U have hardware RAID, or is the RAID configured through software? If using this as a DAS rather than NAS expansion, can RAID be configured?

I used this as an expansion bay for my Asustor NAS unit. The raid was configured through the main unit. I'm sure you could configure raid through your operating system if you wanted to.
