Looks decent, but that's it. 6/30/2016 10:52:16 AM

Pros: + Looks sleek

Cons: - Went through 3 of these keyboards, each had glitches
- Known to be a defective model
- Media keys acted on their own frequently
- Not the quality I expected from Razer at all

Overall Review: Just don't buy it if it's still available.

Meh 6/3/2015 3:49:55 AM

Pros: Looks nice and it works as a keyboard

Cons: I have found that this keyboard has issues when typing. When you are typing fast, certain keys will sense your press when not fully depressed where other require full bottom out. Kind of hard to type lightly or fast with out sounding like a type writer. The one major thing for me when typing for school, work or gaming it will some times bind the key due to the angle of compression and you will have a missed stroke. This gets annoying after a while when you have to delete half of every 4-8 words

Overall Review: I bought this to replace a logitech g19 that i had after a kid spilled a soda on it and im so sad i didnt get another g19 or a mechanical instead. I also had issues with razer mice so they are 0 for 3 as of right now with me.

Drivers/Software/Compatibility issues make it unusable 12/14/2014 7:13:35 PM

Pros: I actually like the keyboard feel and response. Actually that's the only reason I wrestled so long to try and make this thing work.

Cons: Where to begin. It hangs my computer on boot up for who knows why. I installed the drivers and it seemed to fix it for a couple of boot ups then it just started to do it again. I upgraded the drivers to the lastest 3.03 and that makes the keyboard NOT WORK AT ALL. Uninstalled and resinstalled the drivers multiple times. No help. I'm using Windows 7 so you would think compatibility wouldn't be an issue.

Another problem is the rubberized coating on the keys rubs off way to easy.

Overall Review: I like the keyboard but the fact it cannot properly work with my machine is crazy to me. Drivers and Software for a keyboard shouldn't be rocket science.

Disappointing 12/31/2013 3:46:59 PM

Pros: Great feeling keybaord, doesn't take up a ton of space, looks good, responds great

Cons: Matte finish wears off, random keys stop working, Keyboard stops working as a whole and you gotta unplug it and plug it back in.

Overall Review: I bought this Keyboard in 2010 and instantly fell in love with its great feel. I was a high rated WoW player and this keyboard made life a lot easier but after about 6 months of ownership is when I started having problems. One day while playing WoW my A key randomly stopped working and even unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in did nothing, Restarting the computer did nothing, taking to key off and making sure it was clean underneath did nothing. I would have to hit A 5-6 times to get it to input the key once and this lasted for about 2 weeks and then it just magically started working one day. Two more months go by and the same exact thing happens only this time it's with my 3 key and goes on for about 4 days. 2 months later it happens to my A key again. About a year later my O key stopped working all together for a month, 3 months after that my A key once again started messing up.

I have been looking for a new keyboard and the only reason I haven't switch is because I love the layout and feel of this one as it fits my play style perfectly.

Tough But Basic 12/3/2013 8:03:58 PM

Pros: -Sturdy (Mine has resisted 4 years of thorough use and abuse)
-Latency is hardly existent (not like you will notice anyway)
-Needed amount of feedback on keypress
-Built in USB Extension and 3.5mm Audio port extension (see cons for this)
-Included Software for complex macros with no ghosting

As i grew into the gaming world i noticed its flaws and we will get to that shortly

Cons: The matte black finish on the keys will wear and scratch over time (REALLY LONG TIME) ive had mine for 4 years and i can see the led under the spacebar because ive worn through it and smashed the life out of that and certain other "Heavy use" keys.

Thats right! A gaming keyboard with great macro software and no dedicated macro keys to use it on.

Touch controls for volume/playlist navigation and back light are so sensitive and close together it becomes an event to use them where as youre better off just doing in the OS interface (with the exception of the backlight)

Single color backlight (Blue) with 3 options
-Fully lit
I find this pretty useless, it should just be on and off with a hard switch instead of pressing this awfully sensitive toggle key to get between them. If you are a gamer buying a keyboard and need lights to show you where your WASD keys are you should probably go back to console.

There is also some kind of bottlenecking going on with the built in USB port, my higher profile devices wont recognize but things such as thumb-drives and micro usb devices work find. My usb headset will not recognize and nor will my external HDD, as well as buggyness with my phone via the usb port.

Difficult to clean without furthering its wear due to the finish on they keys.

Somewhat loud.

Overall Review: I bought this when i first got into PC gaming and it has lasted me through the years and im still using it at this very moment, its a trooper and the only reason im writing this review is its getting retired soon. It has survived spills, drops, things being dropped on it, fits of extreme rage (not all game related), cigaret embers and my elbow directly into the keys whilst to say it has outlasted any piece of electronics i have ever bought so at the time that i bought it and my knowledge then it was well worth it.

This is a great entry level gaming keyboard but in essence you are buying a singletone lightshow, its no more functional as a every day keyboard with the exception of anti-ghosting and some included software which im sure you can download for free with a couple minutes of searching.

worth the money? No, in 2009 with options not as broad: Yes for the pricetag of $120.

Amazing keyboard! 7/12/2013 11:32:52 AM

Pros: I have owned this keyboard since 2011 and it is still working flawlessly. I even spilled an entire bottle of apple cider beer on it. I simple plucked all keys off and washed the entire keyboard. Easy to clean.

Cons: I don't prefer the WASD lightup option due to that only being viable for specific games. It causes me to have to hit the illuminate option more then once to get to the full lightup display.

Overall Review: 5/5 Great Keyboard. Not sure why there is so many harsh reviews. My assumption is they have outdated motherboards that do not have usb 3.0...

Worst Keyboard Ever 5/15/2013 11:29:21 AM

Pros: It lights up, sometimes.

Cons: The keyboard randomly stops working. The lights flicker sometimes and the audio settings continue to either skip songs/pause songs/stop songs or mute them altogether. I tried to get a warranty through Razer but since it's no longer manufactured they basically told me to get lost.

Seriously the worst customer support paired with the worst keyboard. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them.

Manufacturer Response:

Please forward any correspondences with our CS team to Not sure how it was worded, but we would certainly never tell any customer to "get lost."

Works great, ergonomic 4/25/2013 9:04:09 PM

Pros: The lights are really cool and nice for playing games in the dark to keep the glare off the screen. Also no worrying about shadows on the keys. I can type without looking but when you are playing starcraft or another game glancing can be important to make sure you are not making a mistake and this makes a difference. If you can I would spring for a black widow because those things are unbelievable but i do think this is an affordable and worthwhile alternative.

Cons: The black shows dust and sweat very quickly.

Overall Review: Nice ridge on the bottom to support your wrist which is nice.
