do the keys on the refurbished keyboard light up?

because there's pictures of the lights on the keyboard working fine on the new version of it but there's none on the refurbished

Yes I have had no issue with the jeys lighting up on a variety of different colors. The only issue I've had (and I don't know if one purchased new has same issues) is the hud screen on some of the profile settings has a few lines going through the screen. Still perfectly readable and barely an annoyance. I still think it wad a better dealing going referb.

It's wired, the USB cable also has to transfer power to the headphone and mIcrophone jacks, the display and the LEDs

Yes, I run it with MSI Afterburner. There are other ways but I like that program the most

Dimensions? I have the G105 which fits in my desk keyboard drawer at just under 19" wide. The G19 at 19.5" doesnt fit. How wide is the G510s?

It is exactly 20" wide and depth is 10 1/2 " with wrist guard, 7 1/2" without. -Ron

Is there a mechanical cherry mx (brown preferably) keyboard with a LCD screen on the market right now? 
I love the G510s LCD screen, but wish it was a mechanical keyboard.

Does this keyboard work with windows 8.1?

Yew it worked very well with my windows 8.0 and 8.1. It is Windows 8.0 & 8.1 that don't work. honey. Worst OS Microsoft ever made next to Vista. This keyboard is really great I love it and have used it on several machines. including Windows 7 machine. Well worth the money IMHO. Love the screen with all the info it has.

I saw the item condition is refurbished, is this due to dysfunctional parts? is this item factory refurbished?

The one I received was in great condition, except the E and 5 keys were non functional.
