Question 1

Does it matter what USB port i plug it into? Like can I plug this into a USB 3.0 port? Or does it have to be USB 2.0 or other?

Any USB port will work, all USB ports are backwards compatible. So any 2.0 items works in a 3.0 and a 3.0 will work in a 2.0 but may not have all abilities like a certain transfer speed.

Question 2

How big is this keyboard compared to others? I don't have the most deskspace and am looking for something that looks cool and behaves well in game, nothing to touchy when it comes to keypresses. Also needs to be affordable thanks!

This keyboards size is on par if not slightly smaller than similar keyboards of the same key count. As far as looks, keypress and behavior I think that this keyboard is higher quality than most. I game everyday and one thing that I've noticed especially is that there are no worn keys after a few years. If you replace a standard keyboard the size will probably be the same or less. It is also a fantastic value for the money. I will replace mine with the same thing if I ever need to.

Question 3

IOGEAR did a refresh on this keyboard
They changed it from 3-Color LED Backlight to 7-Color LED Backlight
but they did not change the part number.
I'm not talking about the GKB704RGB
I'm talking about GKB704L-BK
even on the iogear website page for the keyboard its saying 7-Color LED Backlight.
So my ? is witch one is this the older or the newer?

Good question. Mine is about a year or two and it is 3-color. The pic below displays 3-color. I love this keyboard but some things could be improved.

Question 4

Does this keyboard have lights indicating num lock and cap lock keys are on?

yes but after time they dim. on mine only the caps lock light is bright and cant tell if num lock or scroll lock is on unless its totally dark I the room....but, this is an awesome keyboard and do not regret buying it, very easy to clean and feels good
