Will this work with windows 8 64 bit? Is there a patch or plugin to dl?

No patch needed - I use it on my win8.1 64bit machine without any issues. I've never loaded a driver for this keyboard on any machine i've used it with. I use it mainly on my multimedia machine connected to my tv but I also use it when i'm working on pc's or laptops and need a keyboard/mouse. The trackball does leave some things to be desired - but overall the keyboard works well. I've had mine for over a year and have yet to replace the battery.
