Is it glossy or matte?

the black case is glossy except where the where the silver band comes up from the base to the screen, that black area is matte. It is a very attractive case and an outstanding monitor.

Question 2

I purchased 2 of these monitors and an NVIDIA Quadro K2000 graphics card, wanting to have a 2-monitor setup for AutoCAD and Revit.  Now I find that the graphics card has VGA (1 connection) DVI and Displayport (2 connections), while the monitors are VGA and HDMI only.  Is this going to be a problem, or is there an adaptor to plug both monitors into the one VGA port on the graphics card?

DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI are digital, whereas VGA is analog. I would not use the latter.  You can purchase DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cables on eBay for a few dollars each. I have to do this with my Dell laptop and Dell port replicator (docking station).

Question 3

This monitor's listed with a 6ms GTG. Have any used it for gaming and noticed any bothersome ghosting?

Don't game at all, that's my wife's department. My "go-to" geek tech ID'd it as the largest screen commercially available for individual consumers & compatible with my Pentium 7 Home Premium HP equipment here. The built-in speakers are a non-issue, as I have a separate pair with volume control that work quite fine for movie media & sound effects when program data saves. Frankly, I would go Theater Vision with appropriate hookups and enough wall space, but that might be a little "over the top" for home use. I've never noticed "ghosting" images, but we may be working with different room lighting situations & overall image size & decent clarity (colors) are my only two critical needs. Personally, I'm a "Jumbotron" kind of user, but Andrew (our tech) pointed out that certain monitors require the HDMI tower port alternative to a VGA port.

Does the stand come off and is this product compatible with standard lcd mounts?

No the stand is fixed to the monitor and it is not compatible with mounts.

Question 5

This monitor's listed at 15lbs! Is this truly the case for the monitor itself? Or is the listing going for the whole box or something?

Hi Owen!

I purchased this monitor about six months ago and the reason it is so heavy is because of the base.  I suppose since the connection from the base of the monitor to the screen is offset a bit to the side, they had to compensate for the eccentric weight distribution - and thus added additional weightto the base so it won't topple over.

TLDR:  It's sooper heavy yo

It looks to me that it doesn't have an audio out. Have I missed something?  That's a major feature to me since I have speakers I want to use for it already.  Thanks.!

Question 7

I have purchased this last week and having two issues, one I cannot get the screen to expand as shown in photo, hope this was not misleading a sale.
Two, when my computer goes to sleep, on wake up, all my extended screen will not stay, how do I set this up? First time ever having such issues, never had this in past. 
cannot find any support on this, but did read on many buyers with same issue.

Go into your Graphics Settings and then Scaling/Desktop Size options.

For nvidia graphics right click on an empty spot on your desktop or right click the nvidia icon in your taskbar to open the NVIDIA Control Panel
-Display tab 
-Adjust desktop size & position
-Then in number 2 of the "Size" tab click on the check box to "Enable Desktop Resizing" 
-click on the "Size" tab, 
-Then again in number 2 of the "Size" tab click on the check box to "Enable Desktop Resizing" 
-now click "Resize," and use the sliding bars until the picture fits your entire screen

For AMD graphics right click on the desktop, or on the Catalyst Control Center icon in the taskbar to open the Catalyst Control Center
-go to the "My Digital Flat-Panel" tab
-Scaling Options
- then use the sliding bar until the picture fill up your screen

(stupid me, not paying attention wrote this as an answer to someones question. Sorry guy!) Considering buying this right now since it's a great price. But not sure if it's something that I'd want for gaming, but is primarily what it would be used for. Should I? If not, any other suggestions would be appreciated!

It works just fine as a gaming monitor.  I've been playing Batman Arkham Origins on it, which is a dimly lit game, and I think it looks great.

The picture on Newegg shows a *really* thin bezel. Is this the case? What's the actual bezel size you see?

It is about 1/2" on the top, left and right sides and 3/4" on the bottom. It is a fairly low profile compared to the Dell monitor I have next to it.

Question 10

Does this monitor have PiP? I want to connect a cable box via hdmi and I'm wondering if I can have the tv display PiP'ed in a corner.
