is the screen matte or glossy?

the screen is semi-glossy. It's very readable and all reflections are minimal.

The photos show that this monitor swivels into portrait aspect. This is incorrect.

I found it impossible to calibrate this monitor when using the DVI port connected to a Geforce 650 Ti, but it was relatively easy when it is connected via the VGA connector. The most challenging task I put the monitor to is working with Photoshop. The color accuracy is very good using the VGA connector.

The price is right, but I regret getting a 1080p monitor. The problem is finding or making custom desktop wallpapers at this resolution (16:9 aspect ratio). Most wallpapers found are 1920x1280 (3:2 aspect ratio). Then again, this is not much of an issue, but it does present problems when using found images that you like that are not 16:9).

Overall, the monitor's display is very adequate at this price point, and it's color rendition is as good as monitors that are more expensive. For this reason and it's response time when playing games, I'll give this monitor a good buy recommendation.

Wondering what the refresh rate is for this monitor?

Listed at 6ms.  I am a video and photo editor and actually returned the monitor because of how rendered video motion.  It made the video look quite choppy and was unusable.  The colors and tone were nice.  Blacks were a little washed out in the bottom third.

How wide is the bezel?

I have 3 set up in landscape where they meet is less than an inch it's very good for 3 monitor setups in wouldn't recommend portrait  because the bottom bezel is larger than the side bezels

how do you use the pivot feature?

Two things need to be done to use the pivot:

1.  In your display properties there is an 'Orientation' setting - change it to Portrait (or portrait flipped).
2.  Rotate the monitor.

If you want more specific instructions, you'll need to tell us which version of Windows you are running.  The steps are similar but slightly different for Windows XP, Windows Vista, 7, or 8.

Does this monitor adjust up and down (height)?

Yes. From 15.5 inches to 20 inches (top of the monitor).

Question 7

How low does the monitor adjust on the stand?  I need to pair this monitor with another monitor that I already have, but my current monitor does not have a height adjustable stand.  If this monitor cannot adjust low enough, I won't be able to use it.  Specifically, I would hope that the monitor would adjust almost completely down to the bottom of the base (similar to many Dell monitors with height adjustable stands).  Thank you so much for any help you can give on this.
