Is the stand completely removable?

Yes, the mount stand comes detached from the panel.  You can either removed the stand and use a VESA mount instead, or use the stand that comes with it. You can reattach if you change your mind.

In your opinion, what is normally the threshold of number of dead pixels that would make you want to return or exchange for another product?

At this monitor size and resolution, dead pixels are hard to see; so if there are less than three and closer to the corners or edges of the display I probably wouldn't bother returning it; if it was closer to the middle of the screen I would probably return it. If it was a stuck (bright) pixel I would definitely return it since they are very easy to see and very annoying. The display I received has what looks to be a speck of dust between the AG coating and the actual display, reading various forum posts there are a few people with the same problem. I didn't bother returning mine since everything else is flawless and the speck is hard to spot.

Question 3

Is the panel matte or glossy? I do not live in a dustless room with no lights, so glossy panels always look like crap.

For me it's right about perfect.   Not too glossy and not too matte.   It's far less matte than my hp zr2740w.

How long is the display port cable that comes with this monitor?

Will the 4ms gtg kill this monitor for me? I am upgrading from the BenQ Xl4TE 144hz 24" tn

I thought the same and at first there was a bit of me noticing the difference.  Now that I had the monitor for a while, I can't tell what the problem was and just enjoy the picture, and gsync, so much.  I have no issues with battlefield or anything and still have high K/Ds comparable to the 1ms of my old asus monitor.
I'm no extremely competitive gamer but wont say that 4ms is an issue IMO, but I have no qualms with this monitor, especially how smooth it runs with my 980ti and gsync 144hz.

Question 6

I've had two of these and they both suffered from pretty bad "dirty screen effect (DSE)".  Is this normal for this panel or should I return it yet again?

I have a picture of it, but can't post it.  I researched the "issue" and it is this.  The uniformity of luminance varies to such a degree as to effect the color uniformity with whites and other light colors being most effected.  This has a perceived browning, or tinting effect on all white backgrounds, such as this webpage, where one side of the screen, or parts of the screen, are noticeably dimmer, darker and a different color than the rest of the screen.  
This is noticeable and annoying during web browsing and anywhere you have light colored, uniform images.  My question is to ask if this is expected of this display type and whether or not getting yet another one would help.  It might be inherent to the technology used and that's what I'm trying to discern.

Anyone know what the response time on this monitor is? i know its an IPS but this is more of a curiosity more than anything.

Yes it is 3d vision capable but requires the 3d vision kit that includes the glasses and emitter.
