Is the shroud removeable?

Yes.  The shroud comes in three parts which are packed in a long flat box.  The side shrouds can be screwed onto the sides of the screen with a single screw, which the side shrouds include; and, the top shroud can be placed on top of the monitor, when the side shrouds are installed, without using a screw.  Leaving the top shroud uninstalled allows the side shrouds to swivel forward and back.  The shrouds are versatile and may come in handy for blocking-out certain interfering light sources; yet, you can choose not to use them.  The monitor comes packaged with the stand already installed onto it, making it very easy to set up.

Any plans to make a 32-35"? I would buy it then.

The first 2 monitors to achieve a 144Hz refresh rate on a 27" 4K screen have been out for about a year.  These monitors are the Asus ROG PG27UQ and the Acer Predator X27.  Any screen (with these specs) bigger than 27" would not be able to get its refresh rate overclocked to 144Hz because of the bandwidth limitations of DisplayPort 1.4.  In the mean time, DisplayPort 1.4 is the only connection that supports the combination of HDR, G-Sync, 4K, and 144Hz on a 27" display.  In about 17 months, a new DisplayPort standard will be announced, DisplayPort 2.0, which might support these same specs on a larger screen, like 32 or 35 inches.  Then, the problem would become getting enough horse power in your GPU and CPU to drive that larger display.  At this point in time, if you're planning on buying the Acer XB273K, the little brother of the Acer X27, then you'll need a rig with at least a GTX 1080 Ti, or an RTX 2080, or an RTX 2080 Ti.  Your CPU would have to be at least a Core i7-6700K.  The Acer XB273K is half the price of its full-fat-HDR sibling, yet it provides accurate color for professional work while ensuring very good responsiveness in games.
