Dose it adjust up and down fro height or is it fixed?

It does adjust up and down. I would estimate about 4-6". I ended up placing it on a stand anyways, since I wanted some extra height. The ergonomics will probably depend on your own height in relation to desk height and screen size.

Does this monitor come with a display port cable?

It does not. Bought one from a bulk supplier and it works fine @ 1920x1080, 144Hz - but does not wake from sleep.

Went back to DVI-D until I grab a better cable.

Ok, things are confusing, is this a 24" or 27" monitor?

This monitor, the XL2420, is a 24 inch. If you are looking for the 27 inch version it is the XL2720. Hope this helps.

is this the V2 firmware model or the V1 firmware?

I purchased this in Feb, so it would have the version 1 firmware.  Can be updated to version 2 any time.

Is this V1 or V2 firmware......Dec. 08, 2014  can I can an answer that is up to this date?

I bought 3 in early Oct. and received V2 firmware. The manufacture date on the boxes was Feb. 2014, but they each had a small green sticker stuck on the label that had V2 written on it. Hope this helps. They are great monitors for gaming. BF4 on 3 of these with Eyefinity set up is AMAZING!!!

is this only for 3D gaming, or can it be used for non 3D games?

It is not just for 3D gaming. It's a great monitor on its own. The reason it's 3D capable is because it is capable of doing 120hz. With that said, I would recommend buying it directly from the BENQ website or somewhere else that sells it with firmware version 2. The one I got from newegg came with version 1 firmware which has a very bad bug in it which causes large amounts of tracing on the lower half of the screen.

Does the Low Blue Light feature make a difference?  Have you found it to be worthwhile?

Yes. I have used other monitors that would cause fatigue without the use of yellow lenses like gunnars.  Since buying this monitor, I no longer use yellow lenses, and I still do not get eye fatigue.  It is a nice, simple, quality of life feature.  I also read a bunch for work on this monitor, and the same applies for text as well as gaming.

Is this just a new version of the xl2420te?

Yes, with the main new feature of having Blur Reduction built in. The XL2420te on the other hand would have to use the lightboost hack. See also the successor to this monitor called XL2430t.

Purchased in October and was terrified because manufacture date said 2/2014, but Firmware 2 WAS installed. Blurbusters' tool works great!
