Does the screen slide up and down from top to bottom, and vice versa?

Yes, it slides up and down six inches (from the bottom being 2" above the desk up to 8" above the desk).

Does the back of this monitor have mounting brackets for a wall mount? I do not see any from the pictures.

VESA Compatibility - Mountable 100 x 100mm

Typically monitors do not have proprietary mounting hardware. They are VESA compatible and stand or wall mount brackets conform to VESA standards.

If you want to mount the monitor to a wall you will need to buy a wall mounting kit and make sure it support Vesa 100 x 100mm. (there are other Vesa dimensions as well so make sure it supports this format.)

Does the monitor have wall mounting brackets? I cannot tell from the picture and there is no reference in the specifications.

This unit has a VESA 100 mount. Therefore, you may remove the stand and mount the monitor on a wall, swing arm, or anything attachment you like that is VESA 100 compatible.

What are the dimensions of the base of the stand?

15 inches wide, by 8.25. The sand is slightly more outward in the rear, so 8.75 is what I would give it. Not science, but I hope it helps. (15 inches is with a tape ruler, as with the 8.25, but the 8.75 I had to eyeball. Again, hope this helps, great monitor.

Where are the inputs located? Side or bottom?

In landscape mode the video ports are on the right side assuming you are facing it. The power connector is on the bottom.
In portrait mode the video ports would be on the bottom.

Does the monitor have built in speakers?

Yes. It's not the greatest sounding interal speakers though. It is located on the back facing up towards the ceiling in landscape mode.

Question 7

speakers (2x5W) on BL3201PH (32 inch, 4K) have received great reviews from multiple sources. Do the speakers on this monitor sound just as good?  Are the speakers side-firing or firing-upwards?

Never heard those speakers so I can't compare, but these are rear firing speakers and they make sound, but i wouldn't give them great reviews.  They work fine however and I'm sure are perfectly adequate for many situations.

Question 8

Where are the speakers located? The spec sheet says there are 2 x 5W speakers, but the user manual never mentioned the speakers. No pictures are shown where the speakers are located. The built-in speakers are not even mentioned when Audio-Menu is discussed in the manual.

So I have this monitor, and I actually looked around the back to see if I could see the speakers... and I can't.   They must be inside the housing.  I just hooked up the speakers in the monitor to see how they sound, and they aren't terrible.  They aren't great though.  The speakers have a definite "I'm behind some plastic, and I'm muffled" sound.   When the music goes anywhere near either the trebble or bass, you get a definite buzz/resonance out of the speakers.

As for the audio menu, I just looked, and there's not much to it.  All I see is a volume control.

If you are looking to buy this monitor for the quality of the speakers look elsewhere, if you want an amazing screen with great color depth, and get resolution, it's great.

Go buy a cheap pair of speakers and you'll be happy.

Question 10

Can this monitor produce the full 2560x1440 resolution using the HDMI cable?  My motherboard video supports 1440, but only via the HDMI port.

Ignore David S.  Standard HDMI can do 2560x1440 resolution, even at 60hz.  I have been running mine for nearly a year like this and can confirm that it works just fine.  You only need HDMI 2.0 once you start pushing 4k territory, and only if you care about maintaining 60hz.
