Is this compatible with any PC?

The PC needs to support hdmi or display port. You can add a card to a computer to make it compatible with this monitor. Please note that this is 4k and required a nice video card if you want to game with this monitor.

Does this monitor stand allow the monitor to swivel 90 degrees (on its side)?

No. in fact thats the one con about this monitor. The stand only tilts forward and backwards. It does not swivel or raise and lower. But its the best monitor ive ever had.

Question 3

I have a MacBook Pro, only 4 months old, and my wife is getting a new one. We both want to upgrade to a 4k monitor. Will this monitor work with our computers and deliver 4k quality? If so, what do we have to do other than run cables?

Yes this will work. I have a late 2013 rMBP and it works great. You will just need a display port to mini display cable. I do not remember if it was included or not.

As a suggestion, depending on how many cables you have plugged into your MBP, I got the other world computing (OWC) thunderbolt 2 docking station my Mac. Have everything plugged in through it and it works great. I always have my monitor set for 4K and it works like a charm.

Can the height be adjusted?

no the height can not be adjusted, not an issue for me...I use a monitor stand so my keyboard fits under...it's a great monitor..very happy with, excellent picture quality...we liked it so much we purchased 2 more for our office

is this a 10 bit mointor ?

This is a monitor, not a TV so it could support higher color depth than that, hence the "1B colors" claim.  What you need to make sure is your source can output 10-bit colors in this case the gfx card.  The monitor will be able to display without issue.  It also support DP and HDMI 2.0 which is required to support 10-bits or more color depth.

Lastly, this monitor only support one resolution, 4K UHD.  So you will not be able to change your resolution to lower res even your gfx support this.  It does have a default VGA in DOS/Boot mode.

I have nVida graphics cards, will the FreeSync not work with my system as it is not AMD?

FreeSync  is a feature of AMD graphics cards. The monitor is capable of using it, but only when it's paired with a FreeSync capable card

Is the screen a matte finish or glossy? Glossy is too hard to see.

Does it come with the display port cable that supports freesync?

It comes with a display port cable. The monitor itself has a freesync
setting if you are using an amd video card. I'm not. I have a gforce gtx 980 video card, it works great with games. I do like this moniotr

Is the HDMI cable that comes with the monitor capable of utilizing the 2.0 port at 60Hz? Or would I need to buy an aftermarket 2.0 HDMI 4k cable?

There seemingly no unified standards for compatibilities among 2.0 HDMI 4K cables and/or 'backward compatibility' issues (if exist) and unlike the standards for wireless NIC card 802.11 A/B/N/ etc.  So every advancements in capabilities in HDCP, HDMI, etc, are probably some gambles at hindering your enjoyment of technology for now.  Sorry for offering this gloomy perspective, but hopefully you are not affected by this view.
