Pros: - Very easy setup - Great onscreen menus - Built-in speakers
Cons: - Text rendering on Linux can be a bit jagged in certain circumstances
Overall Review: I've used this exact monitor in my day job. With the ongoing quarantine, I decided to buy myself a 34" curved monitor for my home-office... just to make things feel a bit more normal. At first I purchased a flat 34" model, but I didn't like it at all. Believe it or not, the curve makes all the difference. After reading reviews of EVERY monitor I could find, I decided it was silly to buy anything else. I know how much I enjoy my LG 34" monitor at work, so I purchased another one for home. Setup was perfect; I just plugged in the USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 cable and got back to work. While the speakers are fairly unimpressive, they're much better than my laptop's. Text rendering with Linux is hit or miss. Sometimes it looks just fine. Other times (like in Slack) it's just terrible. I have a similar experience when I use my Macbook Pro. I've tried a bunch of different settings. Perhaps someday I'll find the magic incantation. Overall, I love this monitor. It's far superior to any multi-monitor setup I've had over the years.
