Question 1

Are there any known compatibility issues between the ASRock PG27QRT1B monitor and AMD Ryzen motherboards with integrated graphics when connecting via DisplayPort or HDMI?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QRT1B monitor works well with AMD Ryzen motherboards that have integrated graphics when connected via DisplayPort or HDMI, with no widely reported compatibility issues. The DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 inputs ensure most Ryzen APUs can drive the 1440p resolution at standard refresh rates without problems. However, the integrated graphics might not fully utilize the monitor's 180Hz refresh rate for gaming or high-frame scenarios.

If you’re aiming to hit the 180Hz or want smoother gaming performance, you’ll likely need a discrete GPU rather than relying on integrated graphics. The integrated GPUs on Ryzen chips can handle desktop work and video playback just fine through these ports, but pushing high refresh rates in games at QHD will usually be limited by the APU’s graphics horsepower.

Question 2

Is the ASRock PG27QRT1B 27" QHD 180Hz VA monitor a good choice for immersive esports gaming and fast-paced streaming setups?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QRT1B is well-suited for immersive esports gaming thanks to its 27” QHD VA panel with a fast 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, which helps reduce motion blur during fast-paced gameplay. Its AMD FreeSync Premium support also minimizes screen tearing, making it a solid choice for competitive play at 1440p resolution.

Keep in mind, VA panels tend to have slightly slower pixel response compared to IPS when it comes to color shifting and black smearing in very fast scenes, so ultrafast twitch gamers might prefer IPS. However, this monitor balances vibrant color with high refresh well, and its curved screen adds to immersion, making it great for both gaming and streaming setups where visual quality matters.

Question 3

What accessories and cables are included in the box with the ASRock PG27QRT1B 27" QHD 180Hz VA monitor for a ready-to-use setup?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QRT1B comes with a DisplayPort cable, an HDMI cable, and a power adapter included in the box, so you’ll have what you need to get started right away. This setup supports the monitor’s 1440p resolution and fast 180Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming or productivity out of the box.

If you plan to use a higher-end GPU that supports DisplayPort 1.4 features fully, the included DisplayPort cable will handle that bandwidth fine. However, if you need USB or other extra ports, you’ll have to pick up additional accessories separately since the monitor focuses on core video inputs only.

Question 4

How is the sound quality of the monitor speakers?

Accepted Answer

They aren't that bad but I'm usually playing through my headphones for the most part.

Question 5

What are the ideal power supply specifications and recommended cable routing methods to minimize clutter when setting up the ASRock PG27QRT1B 27" QHD 180Hz VA monitor?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QRT1B uses an external power adapter, so ensure your outlet delivers standard 100-240V AC power, which most home setups provide. The monitor’s power cable is typical length and thickness, so use the included cable and connect it to a surge-protected outlet to avoid power issues.

For keeping cables tidy, use the monitor’s rear cable routing channels if available or tie the cables together with Velcro straps to reduce clutter. Since it supports multiple ports like HDMI and DisplayPort, decide which you’ll use and neatly group those cables along your desk or behind your PC to maintain a clean setup without tangling.

Question 6

How does the ASRock PG27QRT1B 27" QHD 180Hz VA monitor compare in value for money to other 27" QHD 180Hz VA gaming monitors from brands like AOC or ViewSonic at a similar price point?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QRT1B offers solid value at its price point, especially with its 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time on a 27" QHD VA panel. The 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and curved 1500R design give it an edge for immersive gaming and better color accuracy compared to many similarly priced AOC or ViewSonic models that might lean more basic in color gamut or curvature.

That said, while this monitor shines in color and refresh rate, some competitors might offer slightly better viewing angles with IPS panels or more advanced ergonomics. If you mostly game in darker environments, the VA panel’s contrast will stand out, but for color-critical work or very wide viewing angles, you might want to weigh those factors against the PG27QRT1B’s specs.

Question 7

Does this monitor have built-in speakers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this monitor has built-in speakers.

Question 8

Can I adjust the tilt of this monitor?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the monitor features tilt adjustment, allowing you to adjust the tilt from -5° to +23°.

Question 9

What kind of connections does this monitor support?

Accepted Answer

The monitor supports 2 x HDMI 2.0 and 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, along with 1 x Headphone Out.

Question 10

Does the monitor have any protective features to reduce eye strain?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the monitor features Flicker-free technology to minimize eyestrain and provides ASRock Low Blue Light Technology, which reduces harmful blue lights emitted by the monitor.
