is this macintosh compatible?

The Mini Display Port supports Macintosh computers which utility the Display port. I use my monitor with:

1) A 2013 MacBook Air

2) A Surface 2 Pro Tablet (Windows 8.1)

3) A Surface 3 Pro Tablet (Windows 8.1)

4) A Windows 8.1 desktop machine

All drive the monitor at it's maximum resolution.

Does the HDMI on this support the 4K resolution at 60Hz or is that only through the displayport? Thanks.

My understanding is that this display is only 30Hz, regardless of which port is used.  I could be wrong.  When I connected to an older Mac Pro (late-2009), 30Hz was the only option.  It's possible that the limitation here was my graphics card, but my online research seemed to turn up a consensus that this display is limited to 30Hz.
