May sound a little odd but it's an important issue to us, considering our past experiences. Does the monitor have actual push in buttons or is it just touch sensitive? Thanks!

Hello Lori,

I have owned this monitor for approximately nine and a half months, and I can answer your question for you. The monitor has actual push buttons on the bottom right corner of the monitor, located just slightly to the left of the bottom right corner of the monitor itself.

Each button is clearly marked in white in and in a clearly lit environment you can see what each button label says. They are also easily felt protruding from the bottom section of the monitor stated in question.

My monitor has seen some use in the time I have had it and other than the lack of visible light available in some situations (from the external environment) I have not had any problems with the input buttons on this piece of equipment. I hope this answered your question.

So I've been using a TV as my second monitor, but it just died. I love using a TV so I can plug my PS2 into it because I don't have any other TVs.....my question is because this has analog input, could you use it as a TV in the sense of plugging game systems into it?

It is a possibility. The only inputs are a HDMI, DVI and VGA, which also face outwards not down (which may be a problem with wall mounting), but if you get a converter cable which splits the "VGA to SVideo RCA" (there are lots of options, I suggest you google that) then it could potentially work.  I would try to make sure that the PS2 video output will convert well through that cable setup though, see if anyone else has hooked up a PS2 to a monitor through a SVideo into VGA converter.

I am buying for my son and he plays online games like counter strike etc... and I got him XBox 360. Will this monitor be good for him?

Hi Suzie! Overall the monitor is a perfect choice if he primarily plays PC games or if he will be playing his 360 up close since this isn't really a big enough monitor to play across the room).

I bought this monitor for my brother's computer and I can give you a little feedback on it - For the cost of it, it's really good.  The picture is great, it's slim, etc.  The maneuverability is just alright (but it can be tilted).  There is a 3.5mm sound port that is an OUTPUT not an input (it doesn't have built in speakers), instead, the monitor can take audio from the HDMI and outputs it to 3.5mm so you can use computer speakers or headphones.

Does this monitors picture turn on automatically as soon as the power is applied? I want to use it in an arcade cabinet so I don't want to push a button on it to turn it on.  I want it to be plugged into a power strip and turn all the way on with picture when I flip the little red switch on the power strip.

Mine seem to remember the last state. I can pull the plug and place it back and it turns on without pressing the button on it.
