Question 1

How is the monitor for gaming? I mainly play 3 games like BF4, LoL and Fallout how would this monitor do in those games.

I have hooked these up to an XBox 360 and played COD: BO2, I found them to be very sharp and immersive as well. Game audio from the monitor was not impressive. However gaming isn't my primary purpose of them. I have two monitors, wish I had 3, maybe 4. I use them primarily for server terminals and status windows to Linux servers.  I currently have both monitors hooked up to DVI ports. I have tested the HDMI (XBox 360) and DisplayPort. I would prefer the DisplayPort, as it was sharper then the DVI port. However, after reboots or sometime had passed one or both displays would stop working with the DisplayPort. I personally think this was a Windows, graphics card, and/or NVidia driver issue. All and all my only disappointment is that they are not edge-less.

I was just wondering, can this monitor be easily mounted on monitor arms?  I've been looking and I couldn't find anywhere that said it supported mounting with an aftermarket monitor stand

I have mine mounted on a VESA 100x100 mount and have no issues. Just make sure that your mount/stand can support the weight of the monitor about 15lbs without the base.

just the screen alone, not including the bezels, is 11.25 inches. including bezels, height is 12.5 inches.

60Hz I get no hesitation or stuttering though but I do wish it was higher.

I'm currently running a Asus 24" VG248 144HZ. Would this be a solid move into WQHD from this monitor or would I be better off running VG248 x3? From a gaming perspective.

If your really hooked on 144hz, id be careful.  The most i can OC this is to 85hz.  But the picture is sweet and gaming for is great on this.  I ran 3 screens for about 6 months.  And its cool for about 5 mins.  Then the games dont support it and its more hype then real world.  I like this monitor better then 3 anyday.

What is the refresh rate of this monitor?  I'm looking for something with 120Hz.

Doesn't seem so. According to the specs, depending on the resolution, it can go up to 75Hz, but at native resolution (2560x1080), it supports only 60Hz. I am curious however why you need a monitor with 120Hz. If it's for movies, 120Hz is a gimmick in my book, and if it's for gaming, higher refresh rates usually mean lower graphics quality. As far as flicker goes, I didn't detect any on mine and I'm very sensitive to this.

Will this monitor work well with a 13" retina macbook pro, will the text be crisp and what cable would I need to connect it if it is compatible? I would be using for work and photo editing.  thank you

yes it would as any monitor can with the proper cables. this monitor is meant for photo editing, its an ips monitor. if you do not know what that acronym means google search it. :) as long as your mac has an hdmi port or a dvi or a display port you can connect your mac no problems. the monitor comes with an hdmi cable and a display port so you will not need to purchase them. the color contrast and your whites and black are crisp and clear.
