Is this product a native(true 4k monitor)? Or is this a software enhanced display?

yes this is native 4K and it one of the best monitors I have ever bought for the price. To get 4K at 60FPS however you MUST use DisplayPort 1.2. The monitor comes set to DisplayPort 1.1 but can be changed in the menu. HDMI only supports 4K 30FPS on this monitor.

The monitor does have a built in speaker in the back, but I've found it to be rather quiet. It definitely should not be used for gaming, but for listening to music while you work, it is sufficient.

Will this work in 4k with the Macbook 15 (2016) model?

I don't believe so. If your MacBook has a display port or hdmi then yes this display would work with a MacBook. I looked your model up and I don't believe it has either, sorry. Also to run at 4K60fps you do need a display port 1.2.
Note: this monitor is overclockable, currently at 4K75fps.

Is this a true 10 bit panel?

I don't know how to check the color depth of the monitor. My video card supports far greater (32 bit) color depth, so that would leave the question in my mind if the monitor is actually displaying that color depth. Let me know if you can recommend an app to make this check.

What Displayport cables support 4k? Everywhere I look none support 4K. Since the refurbished monitor doesn't come with Displayport cable, I have looked round, and this has been very frustrating, as I can't seem to find a cable that supports this. Whar cable does the Retail Monitor come with, and where can I purchase it?
