After you bought it, did it hold up well? Any regrets? I'm looking at getting two of these.

It looks good so far. It got here in good shape and works ok.

I did need to run the color setup, for best color, but it was not hard. And you could probably skip it, anyway.

They have a special Blue Light filter setting that is useful for changing between daylight and night light levels.

The setup buttons are on the bottom right, underneath.

I don't use the speakers, I have direct headphones. So no opinion on those.

I would get another.

Question 2

How does this monitor fare with split screen? If I get a second one, would it be a seamless transition?

It does very well as a dual monitor setup. I assume by split screen you mean using an extended setup, which is totally dependent on the video card driving it. Beware of the default monitor sync settings though. We had 2 sets choose a default sync rate at 59 Hz. which can cause flicker. Set it to any 60 Hz rate (at your chosen Resolution), and your golden. I have never seen a monitor set by default to 59 Hz before, but since you can change it, it's only a minor issue.

What's the refresh rate on this monitor? Can't seem to find it on the specs.

Mine seems to be automatically set to 60 Hz. But I don't think it matters so much with modern flatscreen monitors, they don't actually "scan". The data rate would depend mostly on which type of cable you use. I have an HDMI cable. Looks fine to me.

Hi guys, is this matte or glossy, and  does it have backlit LED?

It's matte, but not noticably so. I don't get any light glares off of it, though.
It says LED Backlight LCD, I think that means the LEDs are used as the backlight. It looks good to me, anyway.

If you mean the power, it is limited to 50-60 Hz.

If you mean the refresh rate, this and most flatscreens are limited to 50-75 Hz depending on the interface cable used. The fps shown on the PC screen applies only to the computer.

Can you turn off the "ASUS-exclusive SplendidPlus"  feature?  I'm doing some color-sensitive work, and I'd like to have a display with consistent colors...

Most monitors have the ability to set a Color Profile for this very purpose. Each manufacturer is slightly different on how they do this, so check your options, and if in doubt, get their tech support to answer your questions.
