Does it work with Apple MacBook Pro?

The best answer would be yes, with a caveat.  The monitor supports HDMI and a VGA output.  So if your computer has one of those it should work, however, if not then you would need some type of adapter device to make the two connect.  Without knowing what kind of video output(s) your MacBook Pro has I can't say for sure 100%.

Are you able to mount the ASUS Chromebox device to to this monitor?

The monitor has a 100MM x 100MM vesa mount points on the back, according to the specs and the two i have. What i do not know is if the ASUS chromebox comes with a mounting bracket that uses these screw holes.

The specs don't list a DVI port to this monitor, only HDMI and D-sub. Is that true?

For those who want to use the DVI on their graphic card or the DVI on their motherboard, it really is simple to resolve. You only need to use a DVI with an HDMI connector to use. The DVI connector goes to the back of your computer and the HDMI connector is attached to your ASUS monitor. I have done this many times, with my ASUS monitors that do not have a DVI connector. The solution works perfectly and you will be able to see YouTube, Steaming Movies and TV Shows and Gaming all in HD 1080p. I was using a monitor with HDMI and no DVI connectors when I had to start using a monitor with DVI and no HDMI connectors. I happen to have had an HDMI to a DVI connector, so I am using that to get my 1080p viewing. The connector is very reasonably priced and it does come in handy with the needs arises.

I do hope this answer will help those who have this issue.
