The Hanns Monitor is assembled and shipped from China. However, like most quality products these days the content of most products have multi-national sources. Its the nature of the integrated world of commerce. Look at the specs to determine if the monitor fits your needs. This monitor has a good but not HD quality display and an attractive feature (for me) built in average quality speakers. This feature reduces desk top clutter. Hope this helps.

The Display has four predrilled and threaded mounting holes on the center back of unit. These are designed to secure the display to a small TV type wall mounting bracket.

Yes it will connect to your laptop with HDMI, but you will need a cable that has HDMI on one end and DVI on the other, as the monitor has VGA and DVI output only, no HDMI. DVI-HDMI still displays at HD

If you mean the monitor, then no, it unfortunately doesn't come with an HDMI port. Part of the reason I returned but don't get me wrong, its a good monitor. You can always get an adapter if you really have to as well.

The space I have for the monitor is 21 and 3/8 inches wide.  Will this monitor fit in that space?

The screen measurement is DIAGONAL, so measure the DIAGONAL of your space available and add one inch (to allow for the plastic frame of the monitor sceen).  That will tell you if it will fit (or not).

I have this sound card Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion (70SB135400000) 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card with Sound Blaster I/O. If I have this, will the built in speakers bring down the performance of the sound?

There is not one single slim LCD monitor on the planet which makes a good audio enclosure for the (always) anemic speakers inside.  DON'T USE THE SPEAKERS!  Use the (I assume you do have them) surround sound speakers you have now.  If you don't have them. go get some.  If you have none, even a cheap <$20 pair of amplified desktop speakers sound better than ANY internal LCD monitor speakers.  Don't buy a monitor for its speakers, it is self-defeating.  This display looks great and it is a very good price.  Haven't had it long enough to complain OR brag about it.
