The bezel is textured. It reflects a very small amount of light, but is certainly not shiny.

From the top of the base to the top of bezel, I measure 16.25 inches.

As far as I know 1920x1080 is the max resolution.

Does it have vesa mounts or can you only use the built in stand?

The VESA mount is hidden by the stand, so you couldn't, for example, use it with a device that uses the VESA mount to hang behind the monitor. If you click to view all available product pictures, in the picture that shows the vga and dvi connectors, you can see the VESA mount screws as well as the button used to release the included stand from the monitor body. I believe it's a 100x100mm mount.

Only 1000:1 contrast ratio? Is that right? Always a confusing spec since my ASUS has 50,000,000:1

Hey Mark. You know I don't even look at that number when buying the lower end monitors. In fact I don't look at that number for any of the monitors. All of these companies make up a spec based on some weird way that they want to present it. Basically that monitor is a budget 24-inch. I bought five of them over the last year for clients and they look very nice, they're very well made for the price. They're good for business and stuff like that. I don't know how they would be for gaming, but the screen is consistent and lighted evenly. I have been generally pleased with them for the price.
